Right: Univox hollow body violin bass purchased as project, rewired as conventional J-bass. New controls, panel and Hofner ebony bridge. Approximate mid '60s vintage.

Bottom row:
Left: Indonesian Fender Squier Affinity P-bass. Dressed the fret ends and changed the capacitor to .100mf. Sounds just right for the purpose.

Right: Gibson Fretless Ripper. 1977 vintage. Modified to play upright due to severe neck dive and excessive weight. Endpin is in lower left corner of picture. Details of modification are here.
